Automatic subtitles translation with Machine Translation
Matesub provides a powerful, smart solution for instantly translating your subtitles using advanced machine translation (MT) technology. This feature is designed to simplify the creation of multilingual subtitles, making it easier than ever to reach a wider, global audience.
How It Works
Project setup with reference file: when you start a new project, you can upload an existing subtitle file in either SRT or VTT format. This file acts as the perfect blueprint, providing the timing and structure for all your new translations.
Language selection: simply tell us the language of your reference file, then choose the target language or languages you want to translate the subtitles into.
Machine translation (MT): Matesub then uses machine translation to automatically convert the content of the reference file into your chosen target languages. Crucially, the translation is perfectly aligned with the timing from your original reference file, guaranteeing synchronization with the video’s audio.
Editing and refinement: Once the automatic translation is complete, you have full control. You can review and edit the subtitles as much as you need to ensure they are accurate and culturally appropriate for your audience.
